Weedeater Exhaust Pipes

Bewitched by a city / Bewitched by a lid on city

you recognize this city? Yes, it's Venice. I gave my divine husband to his birthday a long weekend in Venice. Man might think this is very selfish of women ... but since you thought wrong, because my husband wanted to go there because in fact and a woman is not really excited about travel. Schaut selber.

Do you recognize the city? Yes, it's Venice. My husband had a special birthday, that's why I gave him a long weekend in Venice. I know, this sounds a bit selfish... but it's not... really. My husband told me along time ago that he would like to see this city and I'm not really fond of traveling. However, Venice has converted me... this city is just a dream. Have a look.
Dies war der Ausblick von unserem Hotelzimmer.

That was the view from our hotel room.

Was für a sight!

At the first morning this English ship drove into the channel. What a sight!

After the rather meager Italian breakfast off we went. We could not wait in the different streets and the numerous bridges stroll. But first a little art was announced.

After a rather meager Italian breakfast we started our expedition. We could hardly wait to stroll through all those little allies and over those beautiful bridges. But before that we took a breeze of arts.
First we went to the Palazzo Ducale. This Prunktstück inhabited each of the Doge of Venice. Especially because we found that the Doge had to say almost nothing, they could represent only did others decide. Also could never leave the Doge's palace without his advisors ... how pathetic is this. Also housed in the Palazzo Ducale, the dreaded prisons. The Damned were then transferred from the court room in the Doge's Palace to the Bridge of Sighs thrown into prison. Unfortunately, I can show you the Bridge of Sighs not, because it is covered thick and is being renovated ... sigh. In the rooms of the palace could not be photographed, but I have snapped out strong.

First we went to the Palazzo Ducale. This wonderful palace that formerly inhabited by the Ducale of Venice. But if you think now, that this must have been a powerful man, you're not completely right, then he was just allowed to represent the city. He even wasn't allowed to leave the Palazzo on his own, he always needed to be accompanied by one of his consultant... how sad is that. Also in the Palazzo Ducale are the dreaded prison. The damned came from the courtroom in the Palazzo over the bridge of sighs into the prison. Unfortunately I can't show you a picture of the bridge because it's in renovation at the moment. Also I wasn't allowed to make pictures in the rooms of the Palazzo but outside I wasn't to stop.

This is the courtyard of the Palazzo. One feeled so small and insignificant.

Well, if the Ducale had to remain always in the Palazzo, it had to be something special.

One just had to look closer on the ceiling of the stairs.

Who might this lady have been? She smiles mischievously rather ... probably because she was allowed to see the world and the Ducale not.

Or perhaps smiles the lady in the picture so because they had seen these two guys?

Or maybe the lady above smiled because she had seen those two guys at the stairs?

This is the famous Campanile in Venice. Clear that we had up there. We could climb the stairs .... but we're not crazy.

This is the famous Campanile from Venice. Of course we had to go up there. We could have taken the stairs ... but we're not crazy yet.
The tower had a splendid view over the city.

From the Campanile we had this wonderful view over the whole city.

The Piazzetta from above.

The Piazzetta from above.

On the Piazza San Marco, the pigeons are still fed by the tourists, even on pain of hefty fines. But not only the deaf, even the seagulls are happy that the tourists do not comply. I love seagulls, they are closely linked to the sea for me and her "singing" I'm missing here auf dem Lande sehr.

On the Piazza San Marco the pigeons were still feeded by the tourists even on pain of hefty fines. However not only the pigeons are happy that tourists keep on feeding but the Seagulls too. I really love seagulls. They are connected with the sea for me and I miss their noise when I'm at home.

The business of the Gondoliere didn't go well in winter. But we didn't go on a gondola ride anyway... to much of a cliche for us.

Die Gondeln waren aber fantastic to see. Lovingly painted black and lined with red velvet and decorated with gold. Long live the Kitsch!

But the gondolas were gorgeous. They were painted in black, worked out with red velvet and decorated with gold. Long live the kitsch!

That, my friends, was our view at lunch, which consisted of the best pizza I've ever eaten.

This was the magnificent view we got at lunch, Which included the best pizza I ever ate.

course we were under strict observation ... it could have been accidentally falling over a crumb.

Of course we were watched carefully... a crumble could have fallen down by accident.

At the weekend I will go on with the second part of this wonderful trip.

Liebe Grüsse / Take care
Alex
