D wie Dr. C. F. S. Hahnemann

Gut, dass diese Rose den Doktor bereits in sich trägt, denn ich habe gesündigt. Dieses arme, arme Röschen ist mir im letzten Winter fast ins Jenseits gewandert. Ich habe weder den Topf eingepackt noch mich um die Wasserversorgung gekümmert. Ja, ich weiss, Frevelhaft. Aber sie lebt noch. Ich habe im Frühjahr Wiederbelebungsmassnahmen eingeleitet, d.h. sie soweit runter geschnitten, dass nur noch ein Stummelchen aus der Erde kümmerlich empor blickte und ihr eine Ladung Rosendünger verpasst. Das gute Doktorchen hat gekämpft, hat ausgetrieben und zum Dank habe ich es im letzten Herbst in den Garten verpflanzt. Ein scheuer Blick am letzten Sonntag hat mir gezeigt, dass es bereits kleine Austriebe hat und ich wage zu hoffen, dass der gute Herr Doktor bereits in diesem Jahr wieder seine alte Höhe erreicht. Zur Not kann er noch in die Aspirin Dose greifen, denn die gleichnamige Rose wächst in seiner Nähe.
Ich möchte jetzt Euch aber nicht vorenthalten, wer hinter dem Namen der Rose steckt. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann lebte vom 10.04.1755 bis zum 2. Juli 1843. Er war deutscher Arzt, medizinischer Schriftsteller, Translator and founder of homeopathy.
The roses I actually did not really needed, so it landed in the pot, too ... But as I walked past him, the little cart loaded already with 5 other roses, I could at this beautiful flower not just go over. I hope they will now grow strong and strong and never again succumb to my laziness.

This Rose is lucky to have the Doctor herself inside because I've sinned. This poor, poor rose almost walked into afterlife because I didn't wrap her pot in before winter nor did I care of the water supply. Yes I know, a sacrilege. But she's still alive. In spring I started immediately with resuscitation by cutting her down as deep as possible, only a little stump looked out of the soil, and by giving her some rose fertilizer. The good Doctor has fought and came back to life. Because I was so grateful I planted it in the garden last fall. And a careful look last Sunday at the rose, confirmed me, that she's still alive. I hope now very much, that the Doctor will grow to his old height. If she still needs some medicine, she can ask one of her neighbor the Aspirin Rose :o).
However, I want to tell you who's behind the name of Dr. C. F. S. Hahnemann. It's Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, who lived from 10/04/1755 to second Juli 1843rd He was a German physician, a medical author, translator and the founder of homeopathy.
When I bought the rose I did not really need it, that's the reason why she ended in a pot But when I walked by in the nursery, already five other roses in my cart, I just had to stop seeing those beautiful flowers . She's a fighter and I hope she will never ever have to suffer under my laziness again.
